EWN Entsorgungswerk für Nuklearanlagen GmbH

Latzower Strasse 1 | 17509 Rubenov | Germany

Since 1995, EWN has been responsible for one of the largest nuclear dismantling projects in the world: the dismantling of the five decommissioned blocks of the Greifswald/Lubmin nuclear power plant and the first nuclear power plant in the former GDR in Rheinsberg in Brandenburg.

In addition to the dismantling activities, the disposal and interim storage of the spent fuel elements and the resulting radioactive residues/waste are important tasks of the EWN.

As a state-owned company, we are always aware of our responsibility towards the residents of the region and the population in general. Part of this responsibility is that we are one of the largest regional employers with a total of around 1000 employees in Lubmin and Rheinsberg.

In the course of our dismantling activities, we have been able to acquire a wealth of experience over the years. We also successfully bring this expertise to bear in the context of a wide variety of projects at national level. The EWN brand stands for reliability and safety in the field of nuclear waste management at the highest level.
