As a specialized service provider in the nuclear sector, Orano NCS GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the French Orano Group and is active in all areas of planning and execution of transports for the nuclear technology/nuclear industry, storage of radioactive substances at the company site and the development of components and containers for the transport and storage of such substances.

During the last 30 years and based on a wide range of experience in the entire nuclear fuel cycle, Orano NCS GmbH has been equipped to meet special requirements for the transport of radioactive substances and has the necessary, approved and state-of-the-art vehicle technology.

Orano NCS GmbH operates official approval procedures, accompanies the manufacture of its own containers and creates the necessary transport logistics for each individual case. Orano NCS GmbH also has its own cask park for fuel rods and the technical equipment for handling and loading these special casks. Furthermore, a focus of our activities is the application for nuclear transport licenses and permits in Germany and worldwide, including the brokerage of the necessary insurance.
