New exhibition space!
We have adjusted the seating plan to further strengthen your trade fair presence and offer you the best conditions for a successful appearance.
The plenary lectures are now on the left side of the halls, while the stage for the digital poster presentations is positioned on the right side. What is new is that we are using the large hall as an exhibition area instead of as a plenary hall as before; the ceiling height there is up to 10 meters. This new arrangement offers you the following advantages:
-
New stage: the digital posters are presented with headphone transmission and currently take place three times a day for just under an hour.
-
Higher ceiling height: now allows for impressive stand design and greater visibility.
-
Increased interaction: The distribution of plenary and digital poster presentations ensures a balanced visitor frequency on both sides of the hall.
-
Improved visitor flow: The redesign of the seating plan directs the flow of visitors more precisely through the exhibitor areas in the hall foyer and in the hall.
We are confident that you will benefit from these improvements and are happy to answer any questions or provide further information.

KONTEC offers you THE perfect platform to present your company and your brand, launch new products, meet new and existing customers and join KONTEC over three days at the symposium area, at the trade exhibition and for networking.
The KONTEC Symposium “Conditioning of radioactive operational and decommissioning waste & decommissioning of nuclear facilities”, which was launched in 1993, with participants from over 20 nations and more than 85 exhibiting companies on an area of over 1,280 square meters, is enjoying steadily growing popularity.
Over the last three decades, the event has rapidly developed into an important and popular meeting place in the nuclear industry. KONTEC has now become a magnet for national and international operators, authorities and companies. The focus is on the conditioning of radioactive operational and decommissioning waste as well as the dismantling of reactor facilities.
The symposium takes place every two years at the International Congress Center Dresden (ICD), always at the beginning of autumn, and brings together operational experts, plant manufacturers, service providers, researchers, experts and representatives of authorities to exchange information and experience.
KONTEC is the platform for the topic of interim and final storage in which the status report of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF on the research projects under the title “Decommissioning and dismantling” is embedded.
